Who Are We?

Raw Culture was founded upon friendship and a shared interest in fermented food and drink. Chris Geary and Ashley Keenon are former colleagues from working in the subsea industry.

“it all began with a conversation about fermented drinks and the associated health benefits.”

Ash has a keen interest in all things related to diet and well being. Particularly the element of gut health, which he uses to manage his Chron’s disease. Knowing Chris had been a homebrewer for many years and calling upon his expertise in the matter, the conversation soon moved onto kombucha!

In the blink of an eye, we had come up with a company name, outlined the business and began experimenting! It wasn’t long before other people started to believe in our idea with as much conviction and belief as we had.

Our  hop-infused craft brewed kombucha is an alternative to traditional high sugar sodas. It’s great-tasting and naturally low in sugar. We only use the highest quality, ethically sourced organic ingredients wherever possible to produce a truely unique guilt-free grown-up refreshment.

In recent years there has been a clear culture shift in the things we eat and drink. We are better educated and have more understanding of the connection between diet and our physical and mental wellbeing.

Raw Culture is about prioritising that wellbeing. It’s about balance and taking back control of who we are, ultimately its about allowing ourselves to be the best that we can be.

Live a Cultured Life” as well as being a reference to living the best life you can and being the best you can be, it is a direct reference to the probiotic culture contained within our kombucha.

Research has shown fermented foods to be rich in probiotic bacteria and beneficial acids, so by drinking our kombucha, you are adding these beneficial bacteria and enzymes to your overall intestinal flora, increasing the health of your gut microbiome and digestive system, which enhances the immune system.
